It is important to note upfront that Financial Planning is not a product, it is a process.
It is not only about retirement, or investments, or insurances. It is a process which doesn’t end, regardless of your age, and incorporates many disciplines, which can be overwhelming if you’re trying to navigate them on your own.

Your Financial Planner is a specialist in bringing these disciplines together, to create a long term, though dynamic picture and plan for your financial life.

The current rate of compulsory employer contributions of 9.5%, is not nearly enough to set you up comfortably in retirement. At this rate, you will still require government assistance in retirement.
Your Financial Plan
Your Financial Planner is somewhat of a personal project manager to you, whose sole purpose is to map a financial path, which will take you from the here and now, to next month, next year, and to your retirement and beyond (yes, death).
Financial Planning isn’t only about retirement. It is also about now, and next month, next year, 5, 10 and 20 years from now. You will set short and medium term savings goals, and put the steps in place to get there. Maybe take yourself on an exciting holiday around the world, buy a car, build a deposit for your first home, then buy it!
It is also about protecting (insuring) yourself and your assets. Perhaps, in time, protecting your growing family.
With your Financial Planner’s guidance, you will consider what you want your financial life to look like, and put the stepping stones in place to get there.
